In the stay at home jobs market today, there have been a lot of stay at home moms looking for a stay at home job to supplement their household income and at the same time make full use of their spare time while their kid is at school. However, many are caught in scams during their search for stay at home jobs. I happen to come across one such case recently.
While on my way to do my groceries, I met one of my former college classmates. Wendy has been one of the brightest students in school then and after graduation, she managed to get a promising job at one of the reputable company around our neighborhood. She was so capable that she rose through her ranks and became a department manager in five short years. However, not long after that she got married and in no time was expecting her first baby. She was forced to give up her wonderful career to look after Carlene, as they could not trust anyone to look after her.
With her quitting her high paying job, they no longer could afford the lifestyle they used to have. And their household now has to depend solely on her husband meager income. She felt compel that she should look for a stay at home job to supplement their household income with her spare time, while Carlene is resting. Wendy started to source for opportunities online and came across an opportunity that offers to pay her for taking surveys. She signed up thinking that if she can take at least 10 surveys a day, then she should be able to take home a substantial amount to supplement her income.
Unknowingly, she carried out her plan to fill out the surveys, only to find out hours later that she did not meet the submission criteria and will not be paid. Secondly, the program promise to routinely send her assignments, but she only receive one assignment for the three weeks she is on the program and that assignment got rejected at the end. For this opportunity, she paid $60 just to get started but got nothing out of it. There are a lot of opportunities out there offering free stay at home jobs but not all are legitimate stay at home jobs. When we are searching for the real stay at home jobs opportunities, we must not made the same mistake as Wendy. Here are some guides to help us in making the right choice;
1. Carry out research on the opportunity you are going into using the following as a guide;
a. Check the Internet forums for reviews on the opportunity.
b. Check with other stay at home moms on the best stay at home jobs opportunity.
c. Study the refund policy of the opportunity in case the opportunity does not work out.
d. Check out the payment criteria and schedule of payment. You would not want to fall into the same trap as Wendy.
2. Give the opportunity a try, set yourself a goal and timeline and work the opportunity. There is no free lunch in this world, you won’t get paid by doing nothing especially when starting off something new.
3. Visit this site often as I will be introducing a section that will be recommending real stay at home jobs opportunities that I had tried and is proven to work.
And last of all, do not jump into the first opportunity you encounter without first checking. Scam is always so nicely painted that made you want to give a try. I would rather spent sometime in research then spending my time and money on worthless scams. I firmly believe that if you belief in yourself and research hard, you will definitely be able to find the legitimate stay at home jobs you desire.
